Access the online application, or complete a paper copy in Student Services.

Send Your Education Records

The educational institution(s) must send official transcripts directly to FHTC Registrar, 3301 W. 18th Avenue, Emporia, Kansas 66801.

Meet Testing Requirements

Confirm that your ACT, ASSET, or COMPASS results will satisfy admission requirements, or schedule an appointment to take the COMPASS test. Confirm that program admission criteria have been met.

Enroll in Classes

Once accepted, make an appointment with Student Services to enroll in classes, get your parking permit, student ID, and pay the non-refundable enrollment fee.

Non U.S. Citizens must meet acceptable citizenship criteria prior to seeking admission. Documentation must be one of the following: Alien Registration Card, Passport Stamped "Processed for 1-551," or an I-94 card, Temporary Resident Card, or Arrival-Departure Record. Please refer to the FHTC catalog for more detailed information regarding citizenship criteria. All non U.S. citizens are required to pass the English Proficiency Exam.

Home-schooled students must provide a transcript with the school name and location, courses with credits and grades, graduation date and the school administrator's signature. The students name and date of birth must also be included.

FAFSA

Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.

Verification

If selected for verification, submit required documents to the financial aid office.

Scholarships

Apply for FHTC Foundation scholarships. High school students are encouraged to see your counselor about community scholarship applications.

Application Deadline is March 1st.

Admissions

Complete the admissions process and enroll in classes.

Award Letter

The financial aid office will send an award letter once all financial aid documents have been submitted and processed.

Student Life

Get involved. Have fun. Make a difference. Don't limit your school experience to labs and lectures.

Become a Student Senator, serve on the Community Service Organization, or showcase your talents through Phi Beta Lambda. Students are also encouraged to take part in annual activities including the Dodgeball Tournament, Ice Cream Social, 3-on-3 Basketball Competition, Halloween Costume Contest, and Disc Golf Tournament.

Student Senate

The Student Senate is a service organization that contributes to the College in many areas, including planning and organizing school events and activities, departmental representation, input on College operations, servicing as a voice for student concerns, and providing a forum for dialogue on the quality of student life at FHTC. Students interested in joining Student Senate should contact their advisor or program instructor.

Campus Security Report

In compliance with the “Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act”, formerly known as the “The Student Right to Know and Campus Security Act” and the Higher Education Reauthorization Act. The purpose of this report is to provide our faculty, staff, and students with campus safety information including crime statistics and procedures to follow to report a crime.

College Navigator

College Navigator is a free consumer information tool designed to help students, parents, high school counselors, and others get information about a variety of colleges. You can search for and compare colleges on all sorts of criteria including costs, majors offered, size of school, campus safety and graduation rates. College Navigator consists primarily of the latest data from the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS), the core postsecondary education data collection program for NCES - the National Center for Education Statistics.

Net Price Calculator

This calculator is intended to provide estimated net price information (defined as estimated cost of attendance - including tuition and required fees, books and supplies, room and board (meals), and other related expenses — minus estimated grant and scholarship aid) to current and prospective students and their families based on what similar students paid in a previous year.

Job Placement Report

The Job Placement Report is the result of a one-year Follow-Up Study of program completers. Results of this annual survey are reported to the State of Kansas and compiled in the “Kansas Training Information Program” publication.
